Behavioral health is an operations problem before it is a clinical one
Most facilities already have residents with significant behavioral health needs. What they lack is the structure around those needs: a clinician embedded in the interdisciplinary team, documentation that reflects the acuity, a GDR program that withstands scrutiny, and a billing workflow that captures the revenue Medicare already permits.
Sentinel was founded to close that gap. We work with administrators, directors of nursing, MDS coordinators, and ownership groups to design behavioral health programs that hold up under survey, support the resident, and pay for themselves.
Our Qualifications
Sentinel's practice is grounded in frontline experience, not secondhand expertise. Our team brings direct nursing experience across emergency, geriatric, and behavioral health settings, advanced credentials in resident assessment and reimbursement, and years of operational leadership inside long-term care organizations.
We did not learn behavioral health programs from a manual. We built the systems ourselves, from GDR tracking and compliance workflows to documentation frameworks and billing infrastructure. On the delivery side, we employ psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, with decades of combined behavioral health experience across our operational teams. Our guidance is tested in real facilities every week, not theorized from a distance.
We know what surveyors look for because we have prepared facilities to face them. We know where revenue leaks because we have found it and fixed it.
Our independence is a qualification, too. Sentinel is compensated by flat fees only, with no stake in any staffing company, billing vendor, or pharmacy. When we recommend a path, it is because it is right for your facility.
